240 senior people on a trip of a lifetime, travelling from London Waterloo by the Bellman British Pullman carriages, sister train to the Venice Simplon Orient Express, on 4th June, 2015. The design solutions ranged from the logo design to the evenings printed programme, all having to reflect the event in terms of its luxury and prestige. The overall event was sponsored by Stagecoach Group.

Railway Children Steam Special raised nearly £300,000 for Railway Children to reach more children alone and at risk on the streets in India, East Africa and the UK.

Guests received a champagne reception whilst enjoying the entertainment from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and from 7pm the guests were whisked back in time on board the special anniversary train. Following the scenic tour of the Surrey Hills, the train and its carriages stopped covering the Grosvenor bridge for one last surprise before returning to London Victoria. Barges placed either sides of the bridge on the River Thames produced a fireworks finale to music, delivered by the organisers of the London 2012 Olympics and the London New Years Eve firework displays.
